About Charlotte

I believe you know what’s best for you and your baby. But I’m also here to provide guidance when you need it most.

I gave birth to my daughter in 2020 through an emergency caesarian that could have probably been avoided. I didn’t have access to many resources at the time. Our in-person childbirth education class was canceled and replaced by a pre-recorded video which didn’t give me a single hint on what was to be expected. Bringing a doula at the hospital would have been unimaginable when my spouse was barely admitted. Those were the times when I felt helpless and didn’t get the much-desired support I needed. Despite how unforgettable and beautiful my first moments with my daughter were, I started questioning a lot of things. This is unfortunately the reality for a lot of parents-to-be.

I became an IDI-certified birth doula (2023) to provide the tools and guidance that so many parents lack when it comes to preparing for their baby’s arrival.

My philosophy is client-centered. I respect the decisions you make around your birth and will advocate for you at times when you can’t speak up. I believe everyone should trust their instincts and listen to their body. Whatever feels and sits right with you is what matters, whether you decide to go with a hospital birth or a home birth, a c-section or a vaginal birth.

I'm happy to say I was able to give birth to my second child via a successful VBAC in May 2023!
